I’m an Australian born photographer and traveller. I was raised for much of my life in Australia, but like most Australians, my heritage comes from other places, namely: Scottish, Finnish, Welsh and mostly Hakka Chinese roots.

There is a Chinese saying:

“有阳光的地方就有华人, 有华人的地方就有客家人.”

Which literally means:

“Wherever there is sunshine, there will be Chinese. Wherever there is Chinese, there will be Hakka.”

So by extension:

Wherever there is sunshine, there will be Hakka Xav.

This is blog is full of my travels and photography – my two biggest passions. Hopefully it will be useful, inspiring, entertaining or all of the above for you.
